Dr Dawn Moody, National Clinical Lead for Older People, shared Advantage updates with NHS England’s Older People’s Forum – senior leaders and influencers from policy, professional bodies, Third sector organisations and patient advocacy organisations.
Dr Anne Hendry, Clinical Lead for Integrated Care, Work Package 7 Leader of the European Joint Action on Frailty (ADVANTAGE), and Senior Associate at International Foundation for Integrated Care (IFIC) has been invited to serve as guest editor for a Special Issue of the Journal of Integrated Care on ‘’Integrated Palliative and End-of-Life care for People with Advanced Dementia or Frailty”.

It’s much better for a patient’s physical and mental wellbeing to leave hospital as soon as they are medically optimised for discharge. There’s lots of evidence to support this. Yet each year, nearly 350,000 patients spend more than three weeks in acute hospitals.
